Mapped’s Equality, Diversity and Policy Statement
Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of everything Mapped does. Our vision is to have an inclusive organisational culture.
It is our aim to ensure that no employee, job applicant or candidate receives less favourable treatment on the basis of age, disability, gender including transgender, HIV/AIDS status, marital status including civil partnerships, pregnancy and maternity, political opinion, race/ethnicity, religion and belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, spent convictions, trade union activity or membership, work pattern, on the basis of having or not having dependants, or on any other grounds which are irrelevant to decision-making.
We want everyone who comes into contact with us, both offline and online, to feel valued and respected and our services and general ways of working to demonstrate our stated commitment to EDI.
We will work energetically toward this vision through a mainstreaming approach, embedding EDI into our behaviours and all that we do. We will highlight the benefits of EDI for all individuals and societies and promote its positive contribution.
Our Equality Policy shall operate in accordance with statutory requirements (including the Equality Act 2010). In addition, full account will be taken of any guidance or Codes of Practice issued by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, any Government Departments and/or any other statutory bodies.
Mapped will review the policy at least every three years to help ensure it reflects good practice and new legal and regulatory developments.
